Die gute Mischung (the good mixture) is one of ten works that Katrin Hosterbach based on a chapter from the book Atemschaukel by Herta Müller. These five pages describe the different forms of so-called slag, a by-product of the melting of iron ore in blast furnaces.

Before Katrin Hosterbach started painting, she worked in the ICT industry. She studied painting in Berlin and exhibited at various galleries in Germany. Her work is included in the diplomatic art collection of Germany.
